Refund Policy (updated April 2023)
We have a simple policy regarding refund requests.
UK.Dental Advisory (Formerly, Dental Hygienist Advisory Board)Portsmouth Technopole, Kingston Cres, Portsmouth
Hampshire, PO2 8FA United Kingdom
Registration/ Application Support
- A fixed fee is charged to join our support programme; counseling and the application process.
- Upon joining our support programme, the applicant will receive detailed information with regards to the documents for the application and guidance on courses (CPD list). Once this is sent to the applicant, the payment is not refundable (in any circumstances, including when the applicant changes their mind to not proceed with the application or are unable to continue/ submit the application due to any reason).
- The onus is upon the applicant to ensure they are able to fulfil, collect and provide all the documents required for the application process inline with the timeline provided for the application submission.
- In any case, where the application to register as a DCP is made following our guidance but is rejected by the GDC Assessment Panel, without a right of appeal, a 100% refund will be provided.
- The ‘on-demand support and mentorship’ an applicant gets from UK.Dental Advisory (assisting them to submit their application to the GDC) is for a maximum period of up to 6 months from joining our service. This doesn’t mean that 6 months is required to complete the application preparation and submit it to GDC, as most applicants are able to to do this within 6-8 weeks. Even though we provide our support and mentorship for up to 6 months, we encourage all the candidates to complete and submit the application to the GDC within 2 months from the day they join our support programme. We encourage this because the longer an application is left unsubmitted, the higher risk of it being prone to unforeseeable rule changes by the GDC and other delays.
- If anyone requires extended support after the initial support period finishes (maximum period of up to 6 months from joining our service), an extension fee will be charged.
- There are no foreseeable rule changes known to us right now, however, there may be a case where GDC could implement new rules which may include a practical exam for DCP registration (instead of the current paper-based assessment) and if this happens, our support will be limited to application support for exam registration only for full fee paying candidates and no refund will be applicable on any fees paid.
Training/ Courses
- Delegates cancelling between twelve to eight weeks prior to the course start date are eligible for a 50% refund of the course cost.
- Delegates cancelling in the last eight weeks prior to the course start date, regardless of reasons, will not be entitled to any refund.
- Delegates failing to attend the course (no show) will result in the full cost being incurred.
- If a delegate is unable to attend the course, a substitute attendee is welcome take their place provided the substitute is eligible to attend. An administration fee of £100 is required to make the transfer.
- In the event of cancellation of a course from us or our delivery partners, we will endeavour to inform all participants a week before the course is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible. All course fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment can be transferred in full to another course subject to availability.
- We do not accept liability for any consequential loss and are unable to reimburse for any other costs that may be associated or incurred, including transport costs, accommodation, etc.
- The onus is upon the applicant to ensure they have the correct insurance in place for travel, accommodation, and course bookings to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
